Heritage Turkey

The heritage turkey breed is mainly kept for it's meat, egg laying abilities and as an exhibition bird, because of it's beautiful plumage. It does not grow as large as the Broad Breasted varieties, but is still a large bird.  The toms weigh about 23-25 pounds and the hens about 15 pounds.  They have beautiful blue plumage, and are a gorgeous bird to raise.    

We have focused on Blue Slate turkeys for a couple years now and we did show them. We have decided to change our program up and raise multiple colors of heritage turkeys.  In 2026 we will be getting multiple other colors of poults in and starting in 2027 we will have a fun color heritage turkey pen! We will no longer be showing our turkeys but will enjoy raising all of the colors and sharing them with you!
