Brahmas are great for hot or cold climates. They are good layers, laying between 150-200 large brown eggs a year. The hens are known to go broody if you let them and they make great mothers. The roosters are docile and great to be around. We do not like mean roosters and strive to breed friendly roosters that take care of their ladies. Roosters tend to be around 10lbs to 13lbs and hens are around 8lbs to 10lbs.
We have been working with Partridge Brahmas since 2020. We are always trying to better our breed and our goal is to breed to the SOP.
Our Partridge Brahma lines originated from a few breeders from TN, KY, and AL. We wanted to get a good diversity and start working on our own lines.
This pen works like a BBS pen. There is Blue/Gold/Splash possibility. When getting chicks you will have a chance of all 3 colors
Gold x Blue = 50% Gold / 50% Blue
Gold x Splash = 100% Blue
Gold X Gold= 100% Gold
Blue x Blue = 25% Gold, 50% Blue ,25% SplashÂ
We have brought in a Gold rooster, some blue gold hens, and a dark brahma hen from Carolina boys exhibition poultry to help our partridge get to the next level for showing to work towards getting them recognized.
We will be running 2 flocks of this for this color in 2025.
